Like road transport vehicles, agricultural and construction machinery now use Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems to comply with emission regulations. These systems require AdBlue® to function. 

However, engines that operate intermittently or under low load are prone to deposit formation in the SCR system, leading to costly downtime and maintenance. 

OptiSpray® is Yara’s patented solution, designed specifically for these conditions. Developed by the world’s largest producer of AdBlue®, OptiSpray® prevents deposit build-up and keeps your machinery running efficiently.

Deposit build-up occurs when: 

  • Engines idle frequently 
  • Operate at low speeds 
  • Experience frequent stop/starts 

This is common in: 

  • Agricultural and construction machinery 
  • City buses 
  • Urban distribution fleets 
  • Refuse trucks 

Deposits can cause blockages and engine failure, resulting in increased maintenance costs and downtime. 

OptiSpray® contains a low concentration (<0.05%) surfactant additive that: 

  • Prevents deposit formation in SCR systems 
  • Has no adverse effect on the SCR catalyst 
  • Reduces maintenance costs and downtime 
  • Improves operational efficiency 

Based on a 32.5% urea solution, OptiSpray® meets ISO 22241 purity specifications for AdBlue®.

OptiSpray® is ideal for:

But it’s also suitable for:

  • High-load, long-distance operations 

So need for two separate products in mixed fleets.
